DID YOU KNOW
As many as 16 million people in the U.S. have uncorrected or undiagnosed refractive errors in their vision that could be fixed with glasses, contacts, or surgery.
Is vision insurance worth it?
Vision insurance can help cover costs associated to maintaining your vision which leads to fewer headaches, better performance at school or work and less computer eye strain.
If you or a member of your family needs vision correction, vision insurance can help you get routine eye exams, save money, and be able to afford your favorite eyewear brands.
Routine eye exams
Eye exams covered by vision insurance can help detect conditions like diabetes3 and high blood pressure4 before they become more serious.
How much is vision insurance?
Vision insurance makes it easier to budget for the cost of glasses and contacts. Your out of pocket expenses will depend on the provider and plan you choose. Guardian Direct vision plans start at $10 per month*.
Individual vision insurance and for seniors
For seniors aged 60 and beyond, age-related eye health problems can cause total vision loss. That’s why it’s important for seniors to get routine eye exams and to wear glasses, contacts, or bifocals as needed.
Medicare and vision insurance
While some Medicare Advantage plans offer health, vision, and dental insurance benefits, Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) only offers limited vision coverage that does not include most routine eye care. If you’re not satisfied with your vision coverage under Medicare, you can purchase affordable vision insurance online or over the phone.
