Powered by VSP®, Individual vision insurance includes an annual Well Vision Exam® in every plan for just a $15 copay when you visit a doctor in the VSP® network. One pair of glasses or contacts are covered up to your plan allowance each year after a $25 copay. Members even save 20% on an additional pair of glasses and see a typical annual savings over $200'.

What does vision insurance cover?
Individual vision insurance plans cover all or a portion of the cost of most routine vision care, including the following:
Eye exams
Every Individual vision plan includes an annual Well Vision Exam® for just $15 at a doctor in the VSP network.
Lenses
Lenses are covered up to your plan allowance after a $25 copay for prescription glasses. Single vision, lined bifocal, and lined trifocal lenses covered in full. Impact-resistant (polycarbonate) lenses for children covered in full.
Frames
Frames are covered up to your plan allowance, plus 20% off on any coverages. VSP members also get an extra $20 allowance for featured frame brands.
Contacts
Contacts and contact lens exam (fitting and evaluation) covered up to your plan allowance. 15% savings on a contact lens exam.
Additional savings on laser vision correction and more!
For laser vision correction, average of 15% off regular price or 5% off promotional price (Only at participating VSP network locations).
Policyholders in most states also save up to 60% on a pair of digital hearing aids through TruHearing®. Savings on hearing aids batteries for members and their extended family members.
How much is vision insurance?
Vision insurance makes it easier to budget for the cost of glasses and contacts. Your out of pocket expenses will depend on the provider and plan you choose. Individual vision plans start at $10 per month*.

Medicare and vision insurance
For seniors, age related eye health problems can contribute to vision loss.** That’s why it’s important for seniors to get routine eye exams and to wear glasses, contacts, or bifocals as needed.
While some Medicare Advantage plans offer health, vision, and dental insurance benefits, Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) only offers limited vision coverage that does not include most routine eye care. If you’re not satisfied with your vision coverage under Medicare, you can purchase affordable vision insurance online or over the phone.
