How Much Accident Insurance Do I Need?
1>
Finding the accident insurance plan for you depends on how much you will need to cover deductibles, co-pays, and other unexpected expenses if you or a family member has an accident. Many major medical insurance programs have deductibles that you would be responsible to pay should an accident occur. A comprehensive accident insurance plan can help you avoid draining your savings if an accidental injury occurs.
You will also want to consider a variety of factors, including how much you want to pay or can afford to pay each month. This will largely depend on whether you want to pay more up front through a premium or more if and when you or a family member is injured. The larger the premium you pay up front, the less you will pay if you or a family member suffers an accident.
Accident insurance plans may cover a variety of injury and treatment types but you’ll want to check with your insurance provider that your plan covers the most common injuries and treatments. You’ll also want to ensure you don’t have a deductible and there is no annual maximum.
Guardian Accident Protection Plus™ has no deductibles (amounts that you must cover before the plan pays benefits), there are no waiting periods during which no benefits are paid, and there is no yearly maximum payout amount.
If your children participate in organized youth sports, Guardian Accident Protection Plus offers an organized sports benefit where if your child was participating in an organized sport when the accident occurred, the cash benefit paid may increase by 20%.*
*Please note the children's organized sports additional benefit is not available in the state of New York. The child must be insured by the plan on date the accident occurred.
